Custom Vegan Nikah Heart Cake for an Intimate Wedding Celebration
Every wedding is unique, and I love creating cakes that reflect each couple's story and traditions.
This heart shaped cake was created for an intimate Nikah wedding of about 40 guests at the ICNA Community Center in New Hyde Park. The bride requested a classic white heart cake with vintage Lambeth style piping. While some couples love lots of intricate piping, others prefer less. This style has that vintage piping design without being overly ornate.
One of my favorite details was all the edible pearls. They added such a beautiful touch and complimented the vintage style perfectly.
Like every cake I create at Veg on Board, every single detail was completely vegan. Whether I handcraft a decoration myself or carefully source it, I make sure every medium I use is vegan. In this case, the edible pearls were also gluten free making them a perfect addition to this special cake. Inside was vanilla cake with vanilla custard filling.
I especially loved the beautiful phrase the bride requested to be piped on top: “Fi Dunyah Wal Akhirah” meaning “Together in this life and the next" in arabic. I thought it was such a beautiful sentiment and such a meaningful way to personalize their wedding cake.
One of my favorite parts about creating custom vegan wedding cakes, is getting to learn about different traditions and helping couples celebrate them through something that is uniquely theirs.
Whether you’re planning an intimate micro wedding or a larger celebration, I love working with couples to create wedding cakes that reflect their style and personality.
If you’re looking for a custom vegan wedding cake on Long Island or NYC, I’d love to help create something special for your wedding day!
