On July 4th, I had the pleasure of creating this four-tier vintage wedding cake for Kaity and Sean’s wedding at Flowerfield Celebrations in St James, Long Island.
Kaity wanted a white wedding cake with vintage piping and plenty of edible glitter!
Between the detailed buttercream piping, all that sparkle, and the adorable custom topper with the couple and their 5 pets, there were so many little details. And, as always the entire cake was vegan.
For their wedding cake, the couple chose a four-tier design with vintage style piping. I kept everything white and added buttercream ruffles, piped rosettes, drop lines, swags and little pearl details throughout all four-tiers. I also added lots of edible glitter so the cake had a beautiful sparkle.
The Cutest Custom Wedding Cake Topper
The couple had a custom wedding cake topper made with them along with their four cats and their dog.
How adorable is that?!
I love that they included their pets on their wedding cake. It was such a cute way to add something personal to the design.
Chocolate, Funfetti and Cookies & Cream Filling
Kaity and Sean chose two cake flavors for their wedding cake: chocolate and funfetti, with cookies & cream filling.
The bride is vegan, but the groom isn’t. And here’s a little fun fact: when I made the bride’s bridal shower cake, they both loved it!
So when it came time for their wedding, they already knew they could have a completely vegan cake that they would both enjoy. I love creating cakes that everyone can enjoy, whether they’re vegan or not. You dont have to be vegan to enjoy a delicious vegan wedding cake!

A Wedding at Flowerfield celebrations in St James,NY
This sweet couple celebrated their wedding at Flowerfield Celebrations, a beautiful wedding venue in St James on Long Island.
The venue has beautiful grounds and elegant reception spaces. Their cake sat on a large silver cake stand, with white and pale yellow flower petals and little candles.
The all white vintage design looked beautiful on the silver stand, it was such a pretty set up.
Behind the Scenes: Assembling Their Wedding Cake at Flowerfield
One thing people don’t always see is how much work goes into delivering and setting up a large wedding cake. I transported the cake in my CakeSafe to help keep everything secure during the drive to Flowerfield. When I arrived at the venue, it was time to finish assembling the cake. I had to place the top tier on site, insert the center support rod, and add the final buttercream piping before placing their cake topper.
