A Berry Sweet Baby Shower / Vegan Blueberry-Themed Desserts
A berry sweet baby is on the way!
The mama-to-be reached out to me with the sweetest idea for her baby shower, a blueberry theme! She shared a few inspiration photos, and together we came up with a collection of vegan desserts to complement her celebration.
The desserts include custom royal icing decorated cookies, cupcakes, and cake pops, all designed in blue, greenery and of course, blueberries!
Blueberry-Inspired Vegan Cupcakes
For the cupcakes, I created rosette swirls of vegan buttercream topped with handmade fondant blueberries and greenery leaves. I love how these little details brought the blueberry theme together.
I also wanted to add a little surprise. Rebecca had shared a sonogram photo on her social media page, and since I had a few extra cupcakes, I thought it would be sweet to incorporate those photos into the desserts.
I printed the sonogram images onto vegan edible paper and added them to the cupcakes, finishing them with a piped buttercream border. It was a little personal touch I wanted to include just for her.
Custom Blueberry Themed Royal Icing Cookies
The cookies were another fun part of this order.
I created an assortment of designs inspired by the blueberry theme, including little baby overalls, blueberries, floral details, and personalized cookies.
Each cookie was decorated by hand with vegan royal icing and individually wrapped for the celebration.
Blueberry Cake Pops
To complete the dessert collection, I made vegan cake pops, decorated to look like blueberries. Their deep blue color tied in so nicely with the cupcakes and cookies.
A Berry Sweet Celebration
I loved working on this blueberry-theme baby shower and bringing all the little details together. From handmade blueberries to personalized cookies and surprise sonogram cupcakes, it was such a sweet collection to create.
